I’m Jess, the owner and creator of Outlet For Instinct. 
I live in Western Australia with my husband Jacob, our pups Charlee (featured in this photo with me), Leeder, and our cat Gypsy. 

Although I have always had an interest in the animal care industry since I was a child, it was only recently, that I decided to dive head first in to the world of animal care.

I completed my Certificate 2 in Animal Care through AVT and then went on to complete my Certificate 4 in Animal Behaviour and Training. I’m now a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). I’m passionate about learning and I continue to complete additional short courses to further extend my knowledge.


I’m not here to offer a quick fix. I believe having a strong relationship between you and your dog is the best foundation to create long lasting change and success. My priority is your dog’s well being.

I use positive reinforcement training, management strategies, enrichment and fun, to reach the desired outcomes, reduce the undesirable behaviour and build a stronger bond between you and your dog.
